Iowa Radon Inspection Service strives to be the best in our field. Our goal is to meet your deadline, even when the test needs to be started today. We work extended hours in the evening and on weekends to accommodate the sellers, buyers, agents, and homeowners. Results are available immediately via email, fax and/or verbal at the end of the testing period.
Testing Procedures
All of our radon specialists have completed the required training for certification with the State of Iowa Health Dept – Radon Division. Required continuing education assures clients the latest information and current protocols are carefully followed.
When it comes to equipment, we use the best electronic devices available. The "Femto-TECH Continuous Radon Monitor records hourly radon levels plus barometric pressure, humidity and temperature to validate that "Closed House Conditions" existed during the entire test period. An internal motion detector determines if the monitor itself was moved.
EPA recommends that each test run a minimum of 2 days in the lowest livable level of the house. (not necessarily finished space) Bathrooms, kitchens, closets and laundry rooms are unacceptable rooms to test.
